Mokra Gora is a park of nature, ecological and touristic heaven which is situated between mountains of Tara and Zlatibor. Emir Kusturica , world famous director , two times winner of “ Golden palm tree” at the Cannes Festival has invented and arranged this gorgeous Park where traditional village, known as “Drvengrad” or “Mecavnik” represents the biggest attraction and confirmation that one who get his own home and then he lose it, can find it again. Reviving old houses, moved from surrounding places, Emir Kusturica has made unique City – museum under the open sky. Special rarity is “Sarganska osmica”, museum tourist complex railway narrow track where you can feel the spirit of the old times and where it drive you in one of the most beautiful railway tracks in the world. Special and world famous Movie Festival “Kustendorf” which every year welcomes celebrities of movie art and many lovers of movie.
Zlatibor is a mountain with metres above sea level from 1000m, 220km away from Belgrade. The highest top is “Tornik” and it has extraordinary climate, and it is real air spa with the so-called “ruzom vetrova” (wind rose), characteristic only for this area. Large number of hotels and villas for renting with huge comfort and excellent food are trademark of this mountain beauty. At the center is beautiful lake, around are cafes and restaurants, nearby is market where you can buy domestic specialities such as kaymak, prosciuto, juices and jams of the highest quality, and also many souvenirs.
Three attractions which you are going to visit with us :
- Stopica pecina (cave), 1.690 m long, one of the most beautiful caves in Serbia.
- Ribnicko jezero ( Ribnica lake), is situated in the foot of the highest top “Tornik” and it is also the biggest lake in Zlatibor.
- Gostiljski vodopad (Waterfall) is situated in the river Vrelo, it is 20m high which places it in the biggest ten waterfalls in Serbia. About 100m above waterfall are beautiful café with gorgeous view, where you can take a break.
