Monasteries are monuments of medieval Serbian architecture and they were created from the beginning of the ninth to the end of the twelfth century. Painted with beautiful icons and frescoes, these buildings represent significant religious and cultural treasures of Serbia and the Christian world in general.ĐEvery part of Serbia has a large number of monasteries, and we will mention only the most famous ones: Studenica, Žiča, Sopoćani, Mileševa, Đurđevi stupovi, Ravanica, Manasija, Lelić. And in Vojvodina: Fenek, Krušedol, Šišatovac, Jazak and many others.
